Located 70km from San Carlos de Bariloche and 90km from San Martín de los Andes, this marvelous city of 8,000 inhabitants preserves its mountain village style in spite of its emerging growth. It lies in the South of the Province of Neuquén, only 45km from the border with Chile and 1,624km from the Federal District. The village rests on the northern shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi and it is named after the Quetrihué Peninsula isthmus or narrowness, surrounded by Mount Belvedere, Inacayal and Bayo, where the ski resort is located.
