Fishing: Place of worship for fly-casting, Patagonia has rivers, lakes and water mirrors known worldwide for their trout and salmon. Every summer, when the fishing season begins, lovers of fly-fishing come along to these southern nooks in order to practice sport fishing.

Hunting: Lovers of hunting high and low also have their privileged nooks in Patagonia. Game species there include the red deer, the fallow deer and Pere David deer, to mention some of the introduced cervidae, as well, the mouflon, the beceite Spanish ibex, the blackbuck and wild boar. Countless estancias offering outfitting services and protected areas with hunting permits offer valuable specimens that may become a trophy both for national and foreign hunters.

Adventure Travel: The Patagonian region is ideal to have a more active role as regards contact with nature. Large plateaus, plentiful rivers, the high summits of the mountain range, the volcanoes and the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean are some of the sceneries chosen to practice extreme sports.

Snow: The most important winter resorts in the country are concentrated upon this region. The Catedral winter resort in San Carlos de Bariloche; Chapelco in San Martín de los Andes; Cerro Bayo in Villa La Angostura; La Hoya in Esquel and Cerro Castor in Ushuaia, are some of the main venues with modern infrastructure for the practice of ski, snowboarding and other sports or activities on the snow.

Others: The South also encloses the valuable legacy of the Indian cultures. The present of the Mapuche communities with their artistic expression and their ancient customs; the archaeological and anthropological heritage from their ancestors, in addition to the vestiges of the pioneers who came along to populate these lands. Likewise, the paleontological findings that are still discovered in these latitudes amaze the scientific world and fascinate all visitors.
